The apparatus employed in thermomagnetometric measurements consists basically of a precisely controlled programmable furnace fitted with accurate temperature sensors and a suitable crucible to hold the sample that is suspended from a microbalance that continuously measures its weight. The maximum loading capacity ranges from 1 to 10 g and the precision of mass measurement from 0.1 to 100 ng.
