Thermobalances
Thermobalances. A thermobalance is a microbalance that continuously weighs a sample that is situated in a furnace as its temperature is continuously increased.  The balance can maintain stability and sensitivity even when the furnace temperature exceeds 1000oC. At the extreme the thermobalance can have a sensitivity as low as 0.1 nanogram and a maximum load of one or ten grams.
