Paramagnetism.Paramagnetic substances only exhibit magnetic properties when situated in a magnetic field. An attractive force is developed. The magnetic properties disappear when the applied field is removed as thermally generated motion induces the random orientation of the electron spins thus eliminating nay residual magnetism.
