Modulated Force Thermomechanometry
Modulated Force Thermomechanometry. Modulated force thermomechanometry is a technique
where the change in dimensions of a substance are
measured while under an applied dynamic force in the form of a sinusoidal wave
form over a given temperature range. The waveform is damped by the sample and
from the damping factor, the resonance frequency the Young’s Modulus of the
sample can be determined and phase change temperatures can be identified.
