Dielectric Thermal Analysis
Dielectric Thermal Analysis. Dielectric
thermal analysis is an analytical technique that measures the dielectric
constant and/or the conductivity of a substance as a function of temperature.
The sample is situated between two metal plates in a programmable furnace and
an alternating voltage applied across them. The current and its phase
difference with respect to the applied voltage is
measured and from the data the various electrical properties of the sample can
be calculated.
