The Analysis of Raney-Nickel
The isotachopherogram of the
analysis of Raney-Nickel is depicted in figure 28

28. The Isotachopherogram of the Analysis of Raney-Nickel
The individual elements, aluminium and nickel, were
separated as their ethylene-diamine-actic-acid
complexes. The anion of the leading electrolyte was Cl-
and the counter ion tris-hydroxyethylaminomethane at a concentration of 0.01M
buffered at a pH of 7.5 Hydroxy-ethylcellulose at
0.25%w/w was also present as an additive. The terminating electrolyte was morpholino –ethane-sulphonic acid
and the counter ion trihydroxy-ethylaminomethane at a
concentration of 0,01M buffered at a pH of 6.0. the
analysis time was about twelve minutes.
