Detection

There are a number of detection techniques used in capillary electrophoresis many borrowed from gas chromatography or liquid chromatography. Some of these detecting systems are UV absorption, fluorescence, atomic absorption, inductively coupled plasma, photochemical, electrochemical and mass spectroscopy. A number of the more common detection methods will be described in some detail.
