Velocity
Velocity - Velocity (v) is defined as the rate of change of distance (s) with time (t). (i.e. ). In Europe the common units of velocity are kilometers per hour while in the United Kingdom and America the common units of acceleration are miles per hour. Engineers in Europe and the UK frequently employ meters per second and in America feet per second. In general scientists worldwide tend to use cm per second. Velocity has the dimensions of +1 in length and –1 in time.
