Author ~ R. P. W. Scott

Mass
Mass - Mass is often associated with weight which is the force resulting from the acceleration due to gravity acting on the mass. For example a one gram weight is the force resulting from the acceleration due to gravity (i.e.,981 cm per second2) acting on a mass of 1 gram (i.e. 981 dynes). Masses, however, can be compared by comparing their weights as, at any point on the earths surface the gravitational acceleration will be the same on both.
