Anode
Anode. The anode is the name given to that electrode through which an electric current (conventionally assumed to consist of hypothetical positive charges) enters the electrolytic system. In fact, electrons actually flow in the opposite direction that is from the electrolytic circuit out through the anode. Electrons leave the circuit through the anode.
